Straight up: Acne, dry skin, oily skin, scarring–none of that is fun. But, everyone has some issue with their skin. And if you don’t then, damn. Good on ya!

I have always had some acne, nothing major, but it still is bothersome and I have found a way to keep it at a minimum. Despite the various creams, face masks, scrubs, pills, oils and washes that I have tried, I have actually found that the less I put on my skin or put my skin through, the better! Weird right?

I used to try using three to six products, three times a day to try and keep myself from breaking out, but I found when I didn’t use a lot of harsh chemicals on my face, it did a lot better!

Of course there are other factors, like that my skin seems to do better when I am in a more humid, warm climate. I have no idea why. And that most of my acne is either stress-induced or because I try to squeeze the gunk out of my pores and that just makes them angrier.

I’ve found that using the Neutrogena Naturals “fresh cleansing + makeup remover” face wash once or twice a day and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel face lotion to follow it, just keeps my skin happy. Everyone once in a while, I use the Acure Brightening Facial Scrub to exfoliate.

Your skin also likes it when you drink water and eat vegetables and such too, but be careful what you put on your skin. Sometimes less is more.
